7 killed in jeep and trailer truck collision in Rajasthan; PM offers condolences

Seven people were killed and several others injured on Saturday in a collision involving a jeep and a trailer truck in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh district.The accident took place near Sadulkhera on Udaipur-Nimbahera highway.Four people died on spot while three others succumbed to injuries later, Chittorgarh Superintendent of Police Deepak Bhargav said, according to news agency PTI report. Police said nine others were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Two of them are in critical stage.Reacting to the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief at the loss of lives and offered condolences to the bereaved family members.
