DP arrest SIMI member absconding for more than 19 years in sedition case

Delhi Police on Saturday arrested an alleged member of the banned Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) who had been absconding for more than 19 years in a case of sedition and unlawful activity, an officer said.The accused, arrested from Delhi's Zakir Nagar, has been identified as Abdullah Danish, 58, who hails from Mau district in Uttar Pradesh and has been residing in Aligarh. Danish is the senior most cadre of SIMI who indoctrinated many innocent Muslim youths in the last 25 years, police said.
