Sydney Sixers fined ₹13.5 lakh for playing a cricketer not named in squad

Women’s Big Bash League franchise Sydney Sixers were slapped with a fine of $25000 of which 15000 got suspended for a period of 12 months. The hefty amount came in the wake of an administration error that witnessed fast bowler Hayley Silver-Holmes named on the team sheet to play against Melbourne Renegades despite not being part of their primary squad. The Melbourne Renegades eventually beat Sydney Sixers by six wickets.
