MP farmer dies at Jyotiraditya Scindia's rally, Congress slams BJP
A farmer reportedly died of a heart attack during a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh where BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia was scheduled to speak, officials said.
The 80-year-old farmer passed away while a public meeting was underway in the state's Khandwa district on Sunday.
The rally was held ahead of Madhya Pradesh bypolls scheduled on November 3.
As per reports, the farmer identified as Jeevan Singh, had collapsed on the chair at the rally when BJP's Pandhana MLA Ram Dangore was giving a speech .
"A 70-year-old farmer identified as Jiwan Singh, a resident of Chandpur village in the district, came to attend the public meeting at Mundi on Sunday. But his condition deteriorated and he collapsed on the chair," news agency PTI quoted Mundi police station in-charge Antim Pawar as saying.
