BJP not involved in plea seeking removal of mosque from Mathura
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the Centre and the BJP are not involved in a recent plea filed in Mathura court seeking removal of Shahi Eidgah mosque allegedly built on ‘Krishna Janmabhoomi’.
Shah said that some organizations approached the court on their own adding the government has nothing to do with it.
In an exclusive interview to Network 18, Shah said, “We are not a party to this either in court or anywhere else, therefore, it will not be appropriate for me to comment on this.”
'Centre has nothing to do with it'
Shah’s statement comes after a Mathura court on Friday admitted an appeal against an order dismissing a suit which had sought the removal of a mosque situated near the Lord Krishna temple complex.
